All of these pictures are beautiful to me. It does not look like any of these women have had any work done, what you see is what you get, which to me is beautiful!
There are some things that you need to remember when doing makeup for "mature" faces. I will make a list of do's and don'ts, if you are doing any of the don'ts please consider changing your routine.
Don'ts:
~Cream eyeshadows
~Multiple eyeshadows
~shimmer eyeshadows
~Heavy Liquid Foundation
~Lipliner
~eyebrow pencil
~cream blush
~dark lipsticks
~liquid eyeliner
The reason you don't want to use these is because the cream and shimmer will settle in any wrinkles, it will actually make you look older.
Do's
~ Use a primer on your face before foundation and after moisturizer (smash box has the best primer) Why primer? It will help
your makeup from seeping into fine lines.
~ Consider using one color of eyeshadow, if you have heavy wrinkles on your eyes, and make sure it is matte.
~ try not to use a heavy foundation. Try a sheer foundation or a tinted moisturizer. Unsure of color? Get one shade darker
than your normal skin color, this will help to make you not look pale and sick.
~ Concealer, use it! It will cover up any dark spots or uneven color of skin. Use after foundation.
~ light color lipstick (again will help not to draw attention to fine lines)
~ Use a matte eyeshadow for your brows, one that is just a bit darker than your normal color of brows.
(look at my older post on eyebrows and it will tell you how to use eyeshadow for brows)
~ natural looking blush, one that has more than one color.
(physicians formula has the best, which you can get at any drugstore)
~ Try not to use any eyeliner, once your eyesight gets a little bad, it is hard to make a straight line.
~ MOISTURIZE! One of the best products that you can use is Olay. It has been proven to have the best regenerist formula
One thing I have learned is, it is not your fine lines or wrinkles that make you look older, it is the unevenness of your skin.
Most important, love who you are and where you are at this time of your life! Lines and wrinkles tell a story about you, remember that.
